The big presidential inaguration
is a truly historic event. On which I hope will unite a nation. Not a nation of Afro-Americans, Italian-Americans or Spanish-Americans but a nation of AMERICANS. We now have a president that is neither black or white, but both. Isn't that what this world is suppose to be? We are the melting pot of all nations, religions and races. That is what makes this country the best in the world.
PS.... Clint, the public environment during the "GREAT DEPRESSION" was much worse then now and we have or are going to spend 5% of the GNP to "save" our economy. 1.2 trillion debt last year (that includes the 800 billion dollar bail-out) and they are projecting a higher debt this year of at least 1.5 trillion. When will this stop? The 7 year war on terror has totaled less then 800 billion. That money was well spent and we are a safer nation now. We are getting nothing for the trillions in Debt to sure up businesses who are weaker after the bail-outs. We, the people, now are the owners of BofA, Citibank and it looks like the auto industry too.
I wish I could be there, but i know the milton hershey family will be represented well as I know a class mate that is going to get to attend and I cant wait to hear the details.
I agree...but the public environment is a little different from Roosevelt...so, as you said, time will tell.
I will give him his 100 day grace period to show his chops. Then we will have a good idea of the path he follows. If he continues moving to the middle we could have another Clinton, without the sex, in office. I can live with that, but if he moves to the left and/or far left, I feel we and this country are in big trouble.
The financial crisis got him in office and his Jimmy Carter ways will make sure he has no second term. Obama's "NEW DEAL" will fail just as Roosevelt's did. In a free market capitalistic country you have to let the failures accure. From Obama's lips " Roosevelt didn't put enough government money into the economy". Sounds like a recipe for failure.
It's an exciting time, but be forwarned America..."A Rise to Power" and all those things that people have been saying about the next president have me a bit nervous. Just how "powerful" is he going to become, and what is he going to do with the "power". Like I said, we'll just have to wait and see, but I know for myself, I am (and have been) trusting God and praying for our country. I am reminded that God raises kings and kingdoms, but he also takes them down.
You don't expect Osama to win a second term? Or are you looking further down the road to 2016?
I think enough people are going to love the wolf in sheep's clothing we fondly know as Osama. I think he will win a second term.
the next president, Pelosi, Reid?
Can I vote none of the above?
inauguration, can't go back and fix it...

I agree with what you said in your first paragraph, on the second paragraph... When should we expect to see residual income checks from our new businesses?
