Mike, Bill Brill

What happens now? Where do we go to write about our privileges to comment of our Home and people who attack the general population.

WE ALL

must realize that MHSAA is now a puppet of MHS and Johnny O. I know a lot of MILTS don't really care, but this is something that must be addresses. Because of the questioning of the BOM and J.O. we have lost a lot. The children that could be served, but who have not is staggering. The closing of MHSAA forum is a blow to independence of our assoc.

The Dan White proposal..

Happy to answer...

Not long after O'Brien took over as President of MHS he commissioned one of his friends that he went to Princeton with (Dan White) to do a "white paper" study of our Association. Dan White did it and presented it at an MHSAA meeting.

In effect, i.e., the bottom-line, was he recommended that MHSAA be folded into MHS with the hiring/firing powers of the MHSAA Executive Director belonging to O'Brien/MHS President. MHS would cover most expenses.

MHSAA politely said "NO", preferring to remain an independent organization with "watchdog" like responsibilities over the MHS BOM. O'Brien, to say the least, was not one bit happy about this and that is when things really went downhill. Shortly thereafter, MHS stopped making fees-for-services payments to MHSAA; stopped sponsoring the annual golf outing; had a key administrator contact other golf outing sponsors to tell them MHS pulled out (hint, hint) and soon after those sponsors did as well costing MHSAA, in total, over 30K as best as I recall. MHS, shortly thereafter, kicked MHSAA out of its offices too.

It became clear that O'Brien likely either told his BOM he could deliver MHSAA to them or certainly made every attempt to do so. In the end, through the creation of VOR, our Association is now at his mercy. Just as we predicted the closing of the Forum many of us also believe the Dan White proposal will soon be implemented.

If so, MHSAA will no longer be a stand-alone, independent organization.

Hope that helps...

Confused

I am a tad bit confused. If you don't mind me asking, what is the "Dan White proposal"?

Just look at the D.C. Chapter, which he is President

Within two years or less, ever since Brillant Bill Brill became President of the D.C. Chapter of the MHSAA it is all but extinct. No active members, No active bulletin Board, They put up a few pictures of activities they have had and also have the nerve to post pictures of Johnny O's Road Show which was not sponsored nor hosted by the DC Chapter but only by the School administration. And they don't have any photos of the School President posted either. Even the Pictures that BKC65 posted on Pennslime didn't even show President O'Brien. Makes you wonder if he was even there.
Yoo Mel, makes one wonder who are the Good Witches and who are the Bad Witches when it comes to posting on the new and improved MHSAA.ORG.Shocked

MYSELF

being the person who represents the non-gentle dispositions will miss the forum we all loved. I really like how Brill made it sound like a few individuals caused the forum demise.

Nor me...

I wouldn't contribute a dime to MHSAA. It's no longer the organization it once was or should be. It's nothing more than VOR...period. They're not worried about it though John. They've got their hands out to O'Brien and if that doesn't work they'll likely sell out by implementing the Dan White proposal.

Probably those same

gentle soles who called anyone who disagreed with them out to the parking lot for a "more formal" discussion.

The current leadership is selling the future children down the tubes to protect BOM wannabes that would like to get their own slice of the Milton S Hershey pie.

No money from me from now on!!!!

I wonder who decides who

I wonder who decides who falls into the "gentle persuasion" and "Rough persuasion" categories?

Don't blame me...

I voted for Defend the Deed candidates. So far, everything we predicted they'd do, they've done. How anyone could vote for people who refuse to communicate blows me away. Be prepared for the Dan White proposal to soon kick in. MHSAA will lose its independence and belong to MHS.

Ya think?
