I have had this peice of equipment for years, every one I know who has bought one loves theirs. http://www.bushhawk.com/ProductReview

He does, (Suck That Is.) He is about to go to Mount Rainer, My most favorite place is this country, and the first time you summit and look out from Rainer, it is truly spiritual.

I’m not sure you "got it", but between most guys, saying "you suck" in an envious way is a compliment.

It’s kinda like when your buddy out shoots you at the range and you have to by dinner and he orders the prime rib and lobster, saying "You Suck" and laughing after he orders in reference to his order is the way guys cut up and clown around with each other.

See, IF the next time we are at the range, I out shoot him, I will order the same dinner, only with a stuffed lobster tail AND Shrimp Cocktail.

And in doing so, I would suck more then he sucked.

But if he wins again, and I have to pay (which won’t happen till I’m employed) then he REALLY, REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!
(And I’m sorry to say is what happens all too often, see my buddy is a Grand Champion National Match Shooter.)

Yeah, My buddy, ………he really, really, really Sucks!!!!!!!!

LOL

The Inns at the NP are the best !!!!!!!!!!

I stayed at the National Park in because the Paradise Inn was undergoing renovations, and once I stayed at the NP Inn, I was a fan, its kinda a tradition, but I’m thinking once I’m back on my feet again, I would like to stay at the Paradise Inn one time. (But it does remind me of an Inn from a horror flick.)
The food and staff at these Inns are second to none.
Oh, and if it’s the same as when I was there last, no TV, no Cell Phone Service, but after a day of playing on the Mountain, you sleep like a baby.

Just outside the Park Gates is RMI, they are the only guides who can take you to the summit and back again in one piece, LOL, thats not a lie, they are the best, and this Mountain can easily kill you.

Their web site has a great pre-climb work out to get ready for the climb.
I take it your flying out, if so you will not have a lot of time to acclimate, be very careful of Mountain Sickness, I have only gotten it once in my life, and it was here at Rainer, it kinda feels like the flue and you won’t get it till you come off the Mountain, it can lay you up for a few days, but I would go thru a month of Mountain Sickness just to have one last climb and view from the summit at Mount Rainer.
I’m envious; this is a place you will never forget.

There isn’t a whole lot around there, but for us outdoor people, its heaven.

Oh, one last thing, if you need gear, there is a place, The Wildernest, 161 Rohrerstown Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603-2275 (717) 291-5881

Shawn (the owner) is a great guy and has any little item you might need.
Check with me first though, I have a bunch of gear you can borrow if you need.
Heck, I still have my Crampons and Ice Axes (Black Diamond) from my climbs.
All still in great condition.
Oh, don’t buy a topo, the NP gives you one when you pay the entrance fee, I always forget and get one before I go.

You are about to visit a very special place, it is truly sacred ground, believe me, you will feel it when you are there.
Once again, You Suck, LOL, I’m very envious.

Actually

I am planning a trip there(Washington state) late this summer with my oldest daughter. I still need to figure out the details but I have secured two buddy passes from my brother in-law and have started to receive maps and advice. The only down side is that it is going to have to be limited to a four day weekend trip.

Thanks

That is a really nice pack, like I said, mine is a huge orange case for industial areas, not real handy when I use to hike and climb, and the bad this was, when I went up on Mnt Rainer doing a little winter camping, my dang batteries froze.

I have summited Rainer once, late summer. But even though you cant climb it in the winter, its one of the greatest places to be in a snow season.

If you ever have the chance, check it out.

Pack details

It is a nice pack, it is by Lowepro and it's a fastpack 350 it's Built well and is perfect for my everyday bag. It fits my laptop gear and my camera gear. The really cool thing about it is that you can take it off of one shoulder and swing it down and access the camera without taking off the pack and working off the ground.

Nice pack

What brand and how much,
I have a big case for all of my cameras and video equipment, its a hard case for shipping by UPS or the Airlines and such.
But for around town the case you have looks perfect.

Yes I do

I rarely go anywhere without it. People that know me think I am crazy for lugging it around everywhere. Smiling

'cause you seem to say that you were going somewhere or coming from somewhere when you see something that had to be photographed.
