Cape May Stripers
use to live in villas, nj - and its been about 20 years since i been back.... next time you go down check and see if menzee's (a resturant in rio grande (corner of fulling mill rd and 47)) is still open... best steak and seafood place down there - well at least it was when we were kids....
as far as the catching type of fish, my uncle had one mounted over his mantel (fake fireplace) that he caught down there in the 70's (sword fish and it was bigger then me at 12-14).
hope you enjoyed the time catching them - and eating them... but i don't think i would eat anything that came out of the water (wooder for the jerseys people) from down there - you ever look at what washs up on shore...
yeah, i caught them myself, it was a great day down in the cape may rips ( south tip of nj)
did you catch these yourself? talk about the ultimate fish stories, at least you have photographs now a days to prove to your grandchildren that you really DID catch a fish TTTTHHHHIIIIISSS big.

HEY, HOW ARE YOU. THANKS FOR CHIMING IN. THESE FISH WERE CAUGHT ON MY BOAT AND YES I DID EAT THEM .... QUITE TASTY. PROBABLY BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER SEEN WHAT HAS WASHED UP ON SHORE IN THE VILLAS. OTHER THEN HORSE SHOE CRABS.
I LIVE IN PETERSBURG NJ NOW. NEAR WOODBINE AND TUCKAHOE. THESE NAMES MIGHT RING A BELL WITH YOU.
WHERE AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOURSELF NOWADAYS?
