The Band Wagon is passing by...
Don't forget to hop on now.
THE PHILLIES WON THE EAST DIVISION OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE
That's right my friends, the have won 14 of the last 16 games. While the mets took a big dump in there own bed, Phillies will be waiting two days for the playoffs to start in Philly.
Go back and read all your negative posts. No faith, the band wagon is passing by don't miss your chance to hop on!
See you in November.
love ya all,

Phillies fans since I knew what balls where, and I am not referring to pre puberty stage exploration.
PS. let all the haters now chime in......
Ok, but today it will be in the bathroom. It is raining and cold out.
I'm not even going there for the Sixers. Being from Philly I support all Philly teams but I don't like basketball so I'll stay out of that one.
Now the Flyers on the other hand....we definitely need to put a foot in their rears. I want my Broad Street Bullies back!
Where ever you like. If you are an Eagles Fan.
But if you read up mean more of what I have posted, you might notice that I am also an Eagles fan. Either way don't get your big ole granny panties in a bunch. I have been there with the Eagles for all of their good and bad, which seems to be the unbalanced of Philly anyway.
Any Sixers Fans want to chime in here while we are at it.

Don't bite off more than you can chew little doggie. The big dogs will run the neighborhood while the little poochies should stay on porch and fetch slippers n such. (that is an adjective for additional, not another verb for inhalation, or yet what the Eagles are currently doing)

I just KNOW your not dragging my Eagles into this????!!!!! Dolphins seem to floundering themselves and alot more than Eagles lately. Keep the mudslinging between you two.
Oh and I know for a fact that I can run with the big dogs and pee in the tall grass. Just incase you were wondering.
Naw, was in the Hotel Jefferson and Nanticoke in ID. Nice to reaquaint Don. How've you been?
and I thought you just acted like that back at the Milt for homecoming weekends, and when you were in school.
I guess not!
Butt YOU can act as you WILL!
6'4" - not sure if that is supposed to be threatening or hillarious. Weiser, you were in Penn weren't you, you know with Dino Stella. OOOOHH you meant wiser, as in more knowledge-able. Either way, the comedy sux in Philly too! Speaking of, Jamie Kennedy was doing some stand up tonight at a place just down the road from my home. Weren't you in his movie, Malibu's Most Wanted?

I'm older wiser and 6'4
It's true it was a SERIOUS choke. My friends and I were watching it at our neighborhood pub got to the point where we got bored of just how awful they were playing so we started mooning and flashing the Trolleys with the tourist going back to Eastern State Penn's Halloween in the Prison.
Hey, at least we won the pennant. Eagles are a disgrace this year ugh the joys of being a Philadelphia sports fan
One game this year I was out in the center field area near Bull's BBQ and I got to meet Greg Luzinski. I was telling my girlfriend about who the BULL's BBQ was named for and this little blue eyed, blonde hair kid says... thats my grandfather!
...
That was weird but cool. The Phillies will be back! I am happy they got the NL East at least!
Nils,
I am with you on the late night game catchin. I still do it today. Having all the extra channels on the tube today is a bit more easier though. But I will always at least try to catch the highlites on Sportscenter. I have loved them since forever, I remember watching Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Tug McGraw, and many others. I have been on the golf course with one famous player from the Phillies. Greg "the bull" Lazinski, crappy golfer, good baseball player, big deusch bag.
Unc.
It was a somewhat pleasant month of September for me. Being that my softball team is thriving, and my Phillies were making there way into the playoffs. It was one of the few things that had/has been good for me as of late. Thanx Phillies
Will,
in the Milt I might of smacked you in the mouth for a commment like that. Fan or not! oh, I might have smacked you in the mouth today for it if you weren't over a thousand miles away.

As a lifelong Phillies fan I was up late last night hoping we would pull it out, but it just wasn't meant to be. They ran into the hottest team in baseball, even though I am still questioning if Holliday ever did touch homeplate in the tiebreaker vs. the Padres!
It does remind me of back in the day when I would keep a small handheld am/fm transistor radio under my pillow. I would listen to Harry K./Richie Ashburn/Andy Musser and Chris Wheeler. Whether they were local or they were playing on the west coast. I can remember Mike Schmidt hitting game winning home runs and then me finally turning it off and falling asleep, or sometimes I would fall asleep during the games. Of course I had to sneak the small radio in my room as you were not allowed to have them in your room unless you made effort and conduct or honor roll. I eventually got the radio in my room by earning it, but there were days or nights the Phils wouldn't be denied!
..
PHILLIES are still..... THE 2007 NL EAST CHAMPS!!!!!
Next year... sound familiar?!?!

the play-offs makes no difference. The last week of the regular season was so much fun and full of excitement. That was worth it. I haven't enjoyed baseball that much since 1993.

Can I get a side order of CHOKE here OMG the game was great until the 8th! They were the scrappy underdogs and did some amazing things. Hopefully they can pull it all together and make a run for it next year.
the wheels fell off the Phillies band wagon somewhere on the way into the playoffs.

I am very happy they made it and won the East NL.
I am certain they will have another strong season next year, and hopefully be back into the playoffs.

Been on this band wagon since the day I was born. My dad used to have Reading Phils season tickets, remember the 80, 83 and the Mitch Williams choke. It's been wayyy too long have stuck with them through their curses now hopefully we can FINALLY have a parade down the Parkway for our Phillies! It's about DAMN time!
(and lets talk about chokes what's up with the Eagles? I didnt realize we won the Super Bowl last year and have the post-Bowl shit season.)
Been on that wagon for 36 years, through thick and mostly thin.
Rollins for MVP!
Mets suck and are the
!
He said "We are going to the playoffs"! I don't remember any mention of the World Series, but that is not out of my relm of thinking.
and on another note, if the Phillies pitching rotation would be, and have been all year healthy. There would not be any question ealier on.
Loosing Freddie Garcia was a big turning point, but the offence and the defence in the other 8 positions got them where they are.
I will NOT count them out till the last pitch.

I had little hope of this happening. After finishing 1 or 2 games out the last few years made me a sceptic. With little pitching, but great offence this team pulled out a miracle and I am proud of their accomplishment.
Go Phillies !!! Rollens did say we are going to the World Series. Didn't he say in the beginning of the year, we were the team to beat in the NL East? He was right on in that statement.

PS... This year makes up for 1964

of the band wagon.
How many of the hats are coming out now. Looking forward to my chance to see the boyz in Red White and Blue head to Tampa!
I seem to notice many more fans out now.
Go Phillies.
