If I were most on here I'd get like WHOA...like OMG...excited and then we'd get offended. ROFL

Remember we're Christians and Milts and have to be sweet and nice and bubble gum too...like we're 4 year old naive children believing in Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

I'm sorry that I have hurt your feelings Clay. Your head isn't big...it's just...ummm...uncommon...yeah yeah that's the word...uncommon...its size shape and girth...

Your head is unique and special and we should honor it LOL

REALLY big head....

arcangelwill wrote:

I'd say Clay's head, but with two qualifiers: one, that Underdog balloon that crashed into a building a few T-givings back is pretty massive. Two, I think the only reason Clay's head is so big is because he's over developed his front orbital lobe, or whatever damned lobe he says doesn't fully develop until early 20's.

Hm

Now daggumit that's a hard one...

I'd say Clay's head.

A silverback gorilla, Clay's head or a Macy's Balloon.

Lee, LOL I LOVE the "I love God but protect my from your followers". I think I had that on my bumper at some point.

This is why I don't get involved in these discussions, they get WAY off topic. This topic was about the size of Clay's head, which looks like a damned Samsonite, and devolved into a whizzing match.

Come on folks, stay on topic. Bigger head, Barry Bonds, Clay, or Fred Flintstone?

my 50 billion zimbabwean dollars....

um, hm. i'm trying to follow/get this, but it's something about LD being picked on about the whole boy thing, or so it may have been thus perceived? yes? no?

i'll admit one of the reasons i took a break from this place is that i felt that i may have been talking about issues with brian [my #$%#$^ ex] too much, and about cute guys in general or something.

plus, the mess on this side [here in cape town] got a bit big. i'm ending up more and more like my father though -- in just under weeks, i get to lose $50,000 [also known as the equity in my house] or so because of some mess an ex did [or, rather, refuses to do. great]. said mess may or may not swallow me up; to be honest, only divine intervention [for lack of a better phrase] will prevent some really bad mess from happening at the end of this month.

but, ja. like i say on my facebook page, [R.L. Crawford, add me!] as far as religion goes, i gave it up for lent one year and i never got it back. however, being raised church of christ really never goes out of your blood stream, and i'm sure my religious upbringing to this day continues to influence my life: one of the reasons brian left me is directly related to the fact that i barred alcohol and drunkenness from the house when vito [his son] is here. he walked out the door, or rather, climbed out of a window, to get away from my complaining about his constantly coming home drunk with the boy in the house. [this directly led to the financial mess i'm in. eish. anyone got a few grand that i can pay back over the next 18 months or so?]

in addition, there was just some things at the milt that were religion-influenced that i don't believe left any of us, lewis. it's 2am and i'm still working on some documents, so i can't really put my finger on any one thing. but all of us have some residual "small town" mentality thing left over. think about it when you have your next big argument with someone. or when you're brainstorming with a client on a new project. there's things that just don't go away. ever.

but, you know, a t-shirt that i had before i got really fat said "i love god, but protect me from your followers" or somesuch. part of this may come from how evangelical right-related political christianity has taken over large part of conservative politics without equal moves from the evangelical left into liberal politics. as a result, various laws were passed or finally enforced after lying dormant which antagonized a lot of people on the left and/or people who don't quite fit into the worldview of the right. it happens. love the sinner, hate the sin, and all that. it looks like it got real personal, real quick.

by the end of this thread, it looks like everyone has kissed and made up, which is nice. because that's what families do, more or less. even my mother, who put me out of the house over the getting-kicked-out-of-the-milt + the gay thing, and i have started to get along, largely due to the fact that for most of last year, i was a single parent. to be honest, i never thought i would have to ask a man for child support, but i did, and got it, most of the time, but not enough to keep the bank from trying to take my house. [i'm trying not to be bitter about this. it's not working.]

but, anyway, yeah. at the end of the day, we are more family to each other than our own blood family. i know a lot people on here refer to people as "blood family" and "chosen family". i know i do. i got booted from the milt 19 years ago, and there are people in my mother's family who STILL don't speak to me because of everything that went down. but i look at my facebook friends, and milts figure prominently.

and, to be honest -- being out/outed in high school and everyone more or less being like "yeah, lee crawford, he's gay, but he's such a milt". that more people hated on me because of the great grades i got with apparently little effort than the fact that i liked dudes was, now that i look back on it, a reason that i'm so well adjusted, most of the time. we were all family then, and we're all family now. but, like i said, it looks like the situation has been mainly defused, so, ja.

i know i'm late. but just wanted to add my two cents.

so, to sum:

  • gay
  • small town things have carried over, whether we live in small towns or not now
  • small mind -- a concept that goes both ways
  • can't we all just get along
  • kiss and make up

all the bases covered? if i'm way off about stuff, um, tell me, but i'm just skimming over bits and pieces here. now i get to go back to work. joy. i need to finish this document before i go to sleep; there's a lot of work for me to do when i get up in the morning.

Maureen, Well done!!! You

Maureen, Well done!!! You have proven to be what most of us would hope to be as well. And that is a person with a strong sense of values in which you are willing to back up and most importantly demonstrate through actions. all of us blow up at times. But NOT ALL of us can apologise for what we say or do. As for your values...keep living by them, they make you the good person you are.

Hey Rena...I forgive you and thank you for the apology. I may come off as a condescending prig at times but I do value this type of display. I too wish to apologize to both you and the forum. I hope you are well.

I apologize

I let my anger at Larry and Lewis get the best of me and I responded in a manner not befitting a Milt/Homeboy...to that end I apologize to Markus and to others on this site who read my angry dialogue with both of them.

I should always keep in mind the old adage, "Consider the source" when responding to posts created by people I neither like nor respect but I allowed myself to be dragged into the fray and that reflects badly on me and detracts from this site.

Lewis and Larry, I have no liking for either of you, for reasons which I believe I have made clear already. However, I was wrong to insult you both and inflame the situation. The better tactic would have been to take my own advice and not bother with posts initiated by either of you as I know I will find much to disagree with.

It was at lunch time yesterday when I was angrily commenting to my husband that Lewis called me a homophobe when my son Scott asked, "Mom, what do you care what people like him think?" Out of the mouth of babes...right?

Anyway...the long and short of it...Markus I owe you the biggest apology because my anger took something positive away from your site...I'm sorry.
Lewis and Larry...my apology to you both comes with a caveat..while my personal feelings towards you both remain unchanged...I was wrong to stoop to name calling and for that I also apologize.
To the rest of my friends, new and old, I'm sorry you were witness to my impatience and anger...two things I battle to control daily. A battle I obviously lost this week-end.

Darlin' look back at oh February on here.
Secondary how do I owe you money?
3rd missed the cover charge love. Oh right, there wasn't one.

Funny how your nose is everyone's business. Really like the Milt interesting.

Um, lawsuit, criminal complaint. Campbell touched you in a heated arguement. BIG FRIGGING DEAL. I got the facts as you and the old boys were talking about that situation a few years back you played (as usual) the victim card pretty damn well.

Idiot

1. I'm not a homophobe...I'm a Lewisaphobe...BIG difference!

2. There was no lawsuit over Campbell assaulting me...it was a criminal complaint filed by the Derry Township Police Dept..and you weren’t privy to the chain of events so you really do need to get your facts straight. A criminal complaint does not equal a lawsuit..even a legal layperson knows that, you moron!

3. I never uttered a word of disgust over the fact you have a boyfriend. I'm all for love actually, whomever it may be. (Although I question his taste in partners)

4. I don’t spout my faith. I believe in one God. The end...again with the confusing me with others who are more willing than I to profess their faith.

5. Whatever...I've only seen you what, 6 or 8 Homecomings? Ok, I'll rephrase that...every Homecoming where we were both in attendance I've seen your obsequious, pandering, disgusting, displays of unwanted physical affection. I know first hand...FIRST HAND that you owe numerous Milts money...(Ummm..if you remember correctly I'm one of them) and you have never made a single contribution to any of the parties you have crashed over the years.

6. Why ever would you think I'm going to exchange pleasantries over a television program? I don’t care what you watch on televison..frankly I'm astonished you even have cable.

7. Remember what I said about Homecoming Lewis..If you even so much as approach me this year I will loudly and vehemently tell you in person all of the above...and I will make sure every single person in attendance knows exactly what you are.

Wow Rena

Firstly, bravo and secondary interesting open communication let it out that's the first step to resolving your issues.

So, let me get this correct you can speak about the hubby and the kids and your small town values but when I've posted pics and spoken about the wonderful guy I've been dating for 18 months now I get "ew that's gross and sick". Goose and gander on there? It's okay if we don't have to see or hear about it I believe is what you and others have said here. I find that laughable. I believe as well that you don't wish to have your children exposed "to that". To what? Acceptance, tolerance and love? RIGHT you're a "Christian". LOL The good book doesn't preach that (well it does, just its servants of the pulpit tend to forget that.)

You see me year after year? Attended 1990-1996, 99, 2004 did our 15th in 05 and then came back this past year. That's not "year after year".

Funny, you speak of your faith and I'm greatful that you're a sinner. We all are if you believe the good book. Believe it or not I too am of the same faith based system I just don't spout it. I notice if someone doesn't agree with you you lash out. Fair play but put that Sunday stuff to practice if you're going to get defensive about it. Ya know?

The lawsuit is the Campbell lawsuit where you went for Assault. He pushed you around because you guys were fighting like children inside FH after the Business Meeting.

I never claimed to be a "exalted business owner". I've got a great business and one that has attracted some attention and acclaim. Got some good people supporting me does that either offend you or do you have other issues with some hard work and dedication? Again, I reiterate I'll gladly present my references.

I do have some resources and alot of guerilla knowledge of how to make a membership organization work. Unfortunately, business isn't like that with the MHSAA the leadership over the last few years. Please tell the class what Membership Services that the MHSAA provides or more importantly what exactly have they done over the last decade? What is the cost-benefit of Homecoming for say you who are interested in all the issues or for a first-time returning person? Will I get an answer of intelligence or more pandering and name-calling?

Lastly, it saddens me to see you such a homophobe, I state this in reading your lil assault back you made more than 4 gay references. I've not brought it up. Sad Rena, I surely thought you were better than that.

As for a History thread we're in agreement. Did you catch the 2 hour special on Discovery on Discovering Atlantis?

Ohhhhhh

You're blunt, honest and direct and it's a good thing...I'm blunt, honest and direct and I'm a Gibbles112? Funny how that works.

I prefer to ignore you Lewis..until you start slammin people for their choice of lifestyle; small-town life with families or one full of Christian values. That's akin to people slammin you because you're gay and live in the "big city."

I get on you because you are the ultimate flip-flopper. Take Homecoming for example...you profess your disdain for us and the whole experience and yet I see you there year after year..trolling for free food, drink and accommodations. (By the way, I'm willing to bet you have worn out that welcome...actually I know for a fact that gravy train has de-railed!) You epitomize hypocrisy.

I'm not sure where you and that nutcase Garner got the idea that I tout my good Christian values at every turn...I'll be the very first to admit I'm a sinner of the highest order. BUT unlike you, I have the ultimate respect for people who manage to draw great comfort from their faith, even if I'm not always one of them!! It's simple, nobody forces you or Lunatic Larry to read a thing or to post here..if you don't like what you're reading, close your rheumy eyes.
I, for one, like the "debate club" format, it's not censorship so far as I see..it's just a way of separating the G from the PG-13 or even the R. It's no different than the recipe section...I never go there because I hate to cook..(Goes without saying though I do love to eat) But, I like that other people have a talent or affinity for it and share it with others. By the way Markus, can you set up a "history nerd" forum for people like me? Smiling People can only visit though if they can recite the entire "Gettysburg Address" by heart and I will not tolerate any conspiracy theories, so Clay, stay out! Smiling

As for your off the wall "frivolous lawsuit comment" Am I to assume you mean Purcell's..maybe Halbleib's? Smiling
It matters not actually, because you really are clueless about most things MHS..all we ever hear is how in your exalted position of business owner and marketing guru you would do so many things differently. So go ahead..do something bigmouth! I, for one, would love to see you actually step up to the plate and do something..(Insert obvious..."I'll believe it when I see it" comment here)

Alright..enough “picking on Lewis” for one moment…I have to get back to my hum-drum life…clothes to wash, oh AND iron, cause I actually do have a “real” job that earns this funny little thing I like to call MONEY and I want to look spiffy and well-pressed! Of course there is no glamour to being a Program Manager for the Navy, no dinners with famous Broadway stars for me. But it sure does pay the bills. Then I have to take my “brats” shopping for some back-to-school stuff..oh did I mention that neither Faith or Scott have ever brought home a grade less than 95% and Boone at six has a high school level vocabulary? Of course they have never seen “La Cage aux Folles” so I guess that means they will grow up with zero cultural awareness. Maybe the fact that they’ve traveled all over the country and have seen some of the world’s greatest wonders will mitigate that. (Fingers crossed)

Oh…by the way…had a great time at the mini-reunion last night at Cheri Geib’s house…Lewis you would have loved it…all the free food and drink a person could mooch! (I’m not being mean…I’m just being direct and honest… )

For an obsolete key to Shop 8 (Electricity) that a certain homelife official said I had filed to be a master student home key. Which I didn't and was exonerated of but that someone still wanted to "Make an example of me". Mr. Cash was the first person to turn my ring because he was the one to hand it to me on the day of graduation.

I can't believe someone would do something like that.

Just because someone gets upset with someone or something that someone did doesn't make them a bad person. Just human. Rena is a very good person. Anyone would be so lucky to just know her let alone get to be her friend.

Well Steve

You weren't the one who first stated that and I have no issue with ANYONE'S kids. Know why? Don't know them ~ though ~ some have teenagers and unless they are home schooled never leave the house etc they are exposed to far greater things than they'll ever see on here just by turning on either the news OR going to school. Let's not play naive.

That said, no issue with those 4 person's kids ~ I said something with a lil humor, maybe not to all, but to some who find the preaching redundant. Some claim this site isn't the "fluff" but it seems like we get on a hot button topic people lose their minds.

Susie Q, love ya and u know it so no worries.

The world is full of so much disgusting and horrible things already. Why add to it! So I do appreciate the fact that this site is clean and provides a safe and clean FUN enviroment for Rena's, Cyndi's, Markus, Linda's, mine and the rest the milts beautiful children. Not only is it respectful to other people but I have respect for myself too not to really use it. Have I in the past! You bet ya! Don't feel real good about it either makes me feel cheap. Great to hear from you as well and thank you for the kind words as usual. Talk about being two-faced and demonstrative of the same things that you accuse me of ~ how funny that works.

I thought we were going to ignore each other obviously that is not the case I'm not drawing it out but you want to bring the claws.

What was a frivolous lawsuit that the association paid for both internally, externally and in one form or another for the lil rough house a few years ago at Homecoming ~ OVER POLICY. I get "heat of the moment".

Additionally, I mess around on here more for kicks than most anything because a lot of it I do find absurd.

Who cares about Homecomings honestly. I've acted like me which has gotten me far, would you like the references and reviews GLADLY. Blunt, direct and honest have been my hallmarks.

Lastly, for "take pride in our families and faiths", no issue with that but just looking at 2 rants over the last 48 hours that came from you what's the good book say about forgiveness and judgement. Walk a day in my shoes. Right, that's not your way.

I wish you the best as always.

So which is it? Is he bitter or isn't he? Or is he just looking for an argument because that is the only way he gets any satisfaction in life?

On the old MHSAA Forum, prior to the VoR taking it down once they gained control of MHSAA, those against Larry were no different than those against all others in favor of MHS/BOM reforms. The same is true over on our website, www.miltonhersheyforums.org.

Maybe it's because I'm not on this website all that much? I don't know but mostly what I've read from him is similar elsewhere. Personally, I respect Larry because he's straightforward and doesn't concern himself with political correctness. Just because someone is direct in what they say doesn't mean they're necessarily being hateful or bitter toward another.

Bottom line? Did I miss something...somewhere? If so, can someone provide the link that started the problem please? Either way, I really do hope all can move on. Arguing isn't necessarily a bad thing as it can better clarify opinions; however, when it turns to a food fight isn't a good thing. I know, I know...some would say I've been guilty of unnecessary comments too but please realize this isn't about me, I think.

Thanks...

My Oh My

What a nice Christian thing to say. I owe you nothing either, but I did try to apologize. Being the good Christian you say you are, thanks for your forgiveness. Smiling This is hypocrisy. I don't say how I really feel b/c you are a mother and wife. I do try to show some kind of respect.

To address another remark. I have a very happy life with many people I can call true friends. If I needed anymore friends I would buy a dog. Lonely is the farthest thing in my life.

Old and even sometimes bitter yes. Only with narrow minded people.

Have a great day and a nice weekend all. I will be at Harrahs for the next 2 days with my lady friend. Smiling

I owe Larry Garner nothing...not even a modicum of respect. Big deal if he "stuck up for me," this isn’t 3rd grade and I'm not in need of his "protection." He's been a detriment to reform and you know it.... whether you want to admit it is another thing. How about blasting him for posting my private message, an exchange he initiated I might add?

Like I told you not to long ago..that wackadoodle played a large part in my choice to leave the other bulletin board for good...and I'm NOT the only one. All he does is blather on and on and on about how horrible we all are and how he has no respect for the owners of this site..yet he keeps coming back for more. It’s a blatant cry for attention from a very unhappy, unpopular, lonely man.

So…there it is..my final word on crazy Larry…frankly I don’t care if it’s “mean” or if I’m “not nice.” I’m getting older every second..so I’m not about to waste another nanosecond on that poster child for birth control.

WILL

So.... Sue's kids, Cyndi's kids, Rena's kids, Markus and Linda's kids are brats is what you're saying? It's real apparent that the reason the cuss words are filtered are because some parents have in conversation mentioned that their kids read the forums with them and don't want to have their kids reading cuss words because you feel the need to have every sentence have a cuss word in it. It's unnecessary and immature to say the least and does not show much respect at all. Is it really that hard to respect that small request someone asks of you? Are your rights really being squashed?
Look deep inside of your self Will, If you were a father and wanted all the best for your children and wanted to as much as you possibly can to shelter them from just SOME of the bad stuff life throws at them on a daily basis..... wouldn't you want to?
Will, I cuss, I do! But I have respect for parents, and when asked I would stop immediately around a child. It's not a big deal, please, don't take it as if some one is taking away your right to free speech, just loving their children.
BTW, kids aren't brats.

Oddly enough, I found that after eating some roughage, I didn't feel as irritable and grumpy....just a thought! LOL

LMAO the feeling is mutual

Run to your brothers aid regardless if right or wrong. Famous words " I own this site and no one tells me how to run it". Print what you want to little brother as nothing has stopped you before. Your problem is you didn't ignore and printed your vile thoughts so I responded in kind. Cool

Gas bag maybe, but not hypocritical. Cool

Maureen...

I know you feel the same about me as you do Larry but please know, I'm NOT trying to stir you up. I know your heart's in the right place and would, at least, like to maintain that common ground with you.

That said...I just don't understand why you're knocking Larry so much (though with Lewis I completely understand). Here's a guy, like many of us, who stood up for you, spoke on your behalf after what Bruce Campbell did to you. Sure, like me, I know you don't appreciate his political incorrectness but try to remember...he was someone who stuck up for you.

Hope you're doing well.

Accept it

or move on. You don't "have to asterisk words because you could just let the filter handle the corrections. This is a privately owned site not subject to any committee. You can either accept it or move on to another site where you can say whatever you please, but please stop judging me for the way I choose to present how certain words are.
Don't misconstrue what I am saying because I do appreciate your input and perspective on many subjects that are brought up.

I really like how some post here for help, like my kid is going to Europe and needs money gets many hits and help, while others post needing help and are ignored.

I like how the milt family is full of clics that only stay among themselves.

I like to stir up shit b/c it is soooo boring here at times.

Mint choc chip on a sugar cone..

My mini-van currently runs on "Hulk Power" as that is all my 6 year old son can talk about lately...

Last night I went to bed early and slept all night..

There ARE more baby bunnies this year...I saw three by the pool yesterday..

I like breakfast items with rabbits on their head...

And NO we can't all get along... Smiling Why? because the world, like this BB, forces us to acknowledge there are idiots among us.

There are more baby bunnies

There are more baby bunnies this year than last. Last night I smelled a skunk. I like butter pecan ice cream. My car runs on diesel. I like pictures of rabbits with breakfast items on their heads. Can't we all just get along?

Life is too short.
