It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the 'big people' rides at the amusement park

Saturday morning cartoons weren't 30-minute ads for action figures
No shopping trip was complete unless a new toy was brought home
"Oly-oly-oxen-free" made perfect sense

Baseball cards in the spokes transformed any bike into a motorcycle

That was very funny and such a reminder of how much people complain about all the things we take for granite. I always get a kick out of the "Can you believe stamps went up again". They are 43 cents come on, how else can you get something to the other side of the country for 43 cents. And no matter how much faster the internet speed gets, its never fast enough for people. Everyone does need to be a little more patient and yes, get back to digging in the dirt in the garden. The flowers are on the way up and looking good. Spring is my favorite time of the year.
Get back to tending the garden people! 
The world he is decribing is the world I live in. I just got rid of my last rotary phone(kidding), my family doesn't have a cell phone(we use the one my husband was given for work).
