Cumberland County Teacher Deployed to Iraq
The Teacher below is the Gym Teacher at the school my kids attend. It's hard to believe that she's being deployed to Iraq, she's such a great person, she's helped me a few times the first few days when Joshua had first started school for the first time a few years ago, because she saw how hard it was for me, and how shy he was, she told me it would be alright, and just let him go, it will be easier for him, if he doesn't see me upset. She calls the boys Joshua and Jonah, Jelly Beans.
. Just say a few prayers for her, that she may return safely from Iraq, all of the kids at St. Thersa School love her.

Now a Cumberland County gym teacher is becoming a hero to her country. Sheri Patton will deploy to Iraq in January with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Today her students and colleagues at Saint Theresa's held a prayer service followed by a rally in her honor.
Capt. Patton:
“Uncle Sam needs me to leave the country the wonder of our country to go over, leave these good kids for the next 14 months and train to be the kind of person and help another country rebuild to give them the hope and the freedom we have in our country.
Patton has been with the school for more than 20 years and has been in the military for 19. She will mark her 20th anniversary in Iraq. LINK

one of my co-workers recently got married and days after found out her new husband was still on the inactive reserve list and he is now going back through a quick basic re-training and shipped off next month to Iraq. What a wedding present Uncle Sam gives! I'm still waiting for the day they call me back to active.....
