Beverly Walker "Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget"
Beverly A. Walker, 74 of Hershey, passed peacefully at home Monday, November 15, 2010 with family and friends by her side. "Bev" as she was affectionately known, retired from South Central Employment Corp., she was a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, a member of Capital Presbyterian Church, a Deaconess and a member of Presbyterian Women, to name a few.
Beverly was a devoted wife and leaves a loving husband Ira Walker, two children, Ira Walker III and M. Renee Papapietro, a grandmother of six with two great-grandchildren. She loved gardening, her grandchildren, and her church family and was a friend to many. Her life will be celebrated at her church, 1401 Cumberland Street, Harrisburg on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., viewing starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling Mrs. Walker's arrangements.
The Walkers were precious houseparents to many students. They took an interest in even the students they didn't have. I became good friends with Renee, her daughter, over the years that I spent at Milton Hershey. She was just a sweet soul. I know she will be missed. I was blessed to be one of the lives she touched.
She was at Greenfield.
She sounds like one of the good ones. What unit was she at?

tell me about the Sneeds or are they one of the houseparents that have controversy about them.
