Alumnus of the Year
I'm gonna get up on my
I don't know how many of you ever vote for Alumnus of the Year but I thought that with 2009 being such an important year, maybe we should vote for someone who has dedicated his life to the Milt. William Price,I think he is a graduate of 42, was a houseparent at Cooper for a really long time and Iknow that a lot of you probably know Pop Price. He was always so good to his kids and after you left Junior division he made a point of keeping track of how you were doing. You didn't have to be a Cooper kid for Pop to show concern and love for you. He was probably the one person who has made my stay at the Milt so worth while. He is still a father to me. When my own father passed away I called Pop and he told me," It's gonna be alright Sara, you still have Mom and me.

in order to get Pop nominated? I agree with Sara. I never had the Prices as houseparents, but Katie did and she loved them. I don't think there was one student when I was there who was unknown to the Prices. EVERYONE seemed to migrate to them at football games, school events at Founders Hall, etc. They are truly exceptional people!
mentioned here with lots of love many times. I certainly wish I was in Copper instead of Jackson. The Rothermell's sucked
but wonderful things about mom and pop Price, with that he will have my vote for sure. Thanks for sharing your story about him, I wish I had them when I started at MHS, the Silars were okay, but they were five years from retirement when I entered the school and they had seen better days. There wasn't too much love spoken or demonstrated.

If I recall correctly are nominated and approved by the MHS Board of Managers. They also at one time solicited nominations from the MHSAA membership but I don't think they have recently.
In other words, I wish you luck...
