Keoni Goes to Hawai'i
Sorry i missed responding before your last post, but will def love to see the pics too, and hear all the cool and interesting things you did down there, (or who)
and incase you get the chance to use a cpu from a motel (but then why spend time talking to us when you got new and old friends down there)
Hope your time there ranks as one of the best of your life - and is enought to plan on other trip before the feeling / freshness wears away....
may your days be long and fully memorable, and nights never be wasted just sleeping.... :-] (i know your forgot the meds because of your
age, but there is docs down there too just in case you forgot)
I didn't get to wish you off to Hawaii! Well, I hope the memories are wonderful, and that you remember fondly the time you took your mom. I'm pretty sure since you've not been there since '88, things will be a bit different. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing some of the beautiful pictures I know that you'll be posting on here!
Have a great trip, and keep us posted!
Aloha!
Cyndi
Have a safe and adventurous journey and I hope you take some pictures to share.
Keoni, you are going to have a great time! Eat some fresh pineapple for me
do that this trip, as it may be the last time I can get fresh Hawaiian pineapple! Maui Land & Pineapple, the last of the island growers is cutting jobs and focusing on more diversified crops for the future. It may not be too long before you won't be able to get a 'pine' grown in Hawai'i!
What will we do then?
to be able to take a trip down memory lane - just hope your memory goes with you - and not goes... :-]
by the way love the title of this post, sounds like an episode of Monk... that show hits the funny bone in a different way then most...
Keoni, hope you have the time of your life, and hope you can find the one that you left
, if thats the reason for the trip....
P.S. don't forget the meds / tools (having a kid at your age would be a problem) just in case.....
enjoy your trip to the fullest....

so that is why Keoni loves Hawaii a
connection!!!!!
Have a great time man! Hope it lasts longer in mind than it is in reality! Time flies to fast on vacation...
for all the good wishes from everyone. To be honest, this will be kind of a bittersweet visit, since the last time I was there, I took my mom for her 80th birthday in 1988. So I'm sure some of the places I re-visit will evoke memories of happier days and may bring a tear or two. But that is part of life and I'm glad that I was able to do that for her. I know that she is in a better place now and I can remember and say I was able to honor her as best I could.
I never said this to anyone, but while I was in the Milt, I prayed many times that God would allow me to have her close to me for many years after I left MHS because of the time we were separated while growing up. God answered that prayer with almost 38 years - more than 3 times the 10 1/2 years I spent at the Milt. I think that's a pretty good return of time, don't you?
Until I get back and start posting again (with many pictures!), Aloha a hui hou. ('Til we meet again)
Keoni
Have fun!
24 hours from now I will be on my way to Honolulu. I can't wait! I am sooooooo excited!!
I will try to think of you all while I'm there, I really will.....Are we there yet? What's taking so long???
P.S. Did I mention that I'm excited?

Please post your pictures! I think alot of us would like to see them.
