Homecoming 2008
Homecoming 2008, it was all I hoped for. My sister Sara had a great time at her 20th. She really needed to connect with everyone and let her hair down. Mission accomplished.
KUDOS to all of the class of 88, who took the time to return back to MHS and enjoy this weekend.
Mary and her pals did a great job organizing and welcoming everybody back, no one can thank you all enough for the time, effort, worry and love the went into the reunion.
I was really happy to see all the kids from '83. I tried to find your reunion Friday night but my terrible sense of direction kept me from finding the place. I was going to visit you all after the banquet but we were actually called away for a family emergency. I want to shout out: to Kathy T., you have the best legs! And to Connie C. and her sweet little boy, and Maryanne F. thanks for sharing little Chris and letting me hug him too! Vance C. thanks for the hug! Nancy McD out all the way from AZ! And to Sharon and Missy, looking great ladies! I really wish I could talked to you all. Oh, and how, oh how did you get the fabulous Mr. Glwy to sit with you all?
I saw Tim McD, who is a fireman in Philadelphia, I feel safer! I ran into Tony S. and Virgil W., who is running his 2nd marathon this Saturday! I think we talked Tony to running with him next year!
Man, I don't want to forget to say a big THANK YOU to the guys of '79 who are always so sweet to me and allowed me to use their shower on Saturday! Bill and Jimmy, SAVED MY LIFE! I was one stinky girl after running on Saturday and was worried I would have to use the locker room at Catherine Hall or worst! I owe you!
I was lucky enough to run into Mr. Schrn. His wife is healing and feeling much better. He always asks how is Dawn Williams, (MHS's 1st female champion: 2 time District 3 Shot Put and Discus Champion) and ponders why isn't she in the HOF? Preaching to the Choir Mr. S!
Bob H. is this your last year? Say it isn't so! But now, we can expect to see you a little more relaxed and have a bit of time to enjoy yourself at Homecoming.
Well, I expect next year to be even more fun. Holly and I are going to press are classmates into returning for a mini reunion. I really feel after losing Tony M. that 5 years is really too long to wait to see '82 faces again.
