Talk about an anti-climactic moment!!!

My boss is a REALLY cool guy! Smart too!!!! (That's irrelevant here and we won't even get into it therefore.)

He will on occassion (rather frequently) come in on a Friday and tell those who are still here, that we can go home an hour, two hours, half a day, whatever early! The last time he did it was Homecoming weekend (gives you a reference point as to how frequently). I am ALMOST NEVER, and I mean ALMOST NEVER able to take advantage of his kindness because either I'm in Court, or I'm preparing for Court, so I can't leave early. I appreciate it, and always thank him for it, but always kinda grumble that it would be nice if once, I too could take advantage when he just decides to let us go!

Well, Monday is Columbus Day, we have off, and I don't have Court until Wednesday, so I'm pretty well squared away. So, he comes in today and says we can go home an hour early!!!!! I'm like WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I can actually take advantage of his kindness and go home, leave the office when everyone else does, YIPPPPPEEEEE!!!!!

Here's the anti-climactic part.....I get to leave early, to go home, to noone!!!!! And there's nothing special going on that I need the extra time (like Homecoming)! Bill has to go to NJ by himself tonight to get Chloe because Jordan is the Mascot for the Homecoming game tonight so I have to be home for when it's time to get him there, until then, he's at the school helping get everything ready for the game, and the dance tomorrow. Casey will be heading straight to her dad's after school.......

I'm not being ungrateful, I'm excited just to gt the extra hour off and leave here at 3:30! I may just go home and nap, who knows. But, I wish I could've been able to at least found a better use for that hour!!!! Ya know?!?!?!?!!? And I am NOT going home and using it to do work at home!!!!! FORGET IT!!!!!!!
