I love my husband, I really, really do......

and as promised, to myself, he got his "Gorilla" ladder for Father's Day.

Last night we finally decide that it is time to put the mongo air conditioner in the main part of the house. The family room is sub-level and therefore stays cool and we had already put the air conditioners in the bedrooms. This one is HUGE, it does our entire upstairs area. It goes in the dining room window and we have to do it together. So we go to the storage shed, get it out together, clean it together and look at it getting ready to take it in. He makes a comment about getting the ladder AFTER we get it in the window. Now, I kinda look at him puzzled (We put this same air conditioner in the same window last year WITHOUT a ladder!) but don't say anything about it other than, "if you want the ladder, go get it now so we don't have to worry about "freak cats" jumping out the window" (Long discussion about our freak flying cats who jump out of our second story windows because they think they have wings had here.). He decides, he doesn't need the ladder. Okay, fine. We pick up the air conditioner and head in the door, through the kitchen and into the dining room, we get it in the window and guess what my loving husband says to me?!?!?!?!?!?!? "I think I'll go get the ladder!!!!"

I looked at him and said....... Evil

So now, he has to go all the way down to the barn, bring up the ladder, unwrap it, read the directions, figure out how to make the darn thing work, WHILE I AM, (remember this is an air conditioner that both of us do together because of it's HUGENESS), balancing the air conditioner in the window, and yes, grabbing one kitty cat, by its neck, in mid-flight, so as not to go through the same window that I am holding the air conditioner in, while kicking the other cat who has not yet taken flight!!!!!!! It's almost as if the darned cats knew they could take advantage of the opportunity!!!!

I won't mention that my husband has decided to do all of this, right below the window that I am now unsteadily balancing the air conditioner in!!!!!!!

It turned out fine.......but for some mild burning to my husband from the scolding he got.
